Ingredients

  • 4 cups gluten-free rice chex cereal
  • 4 cups gluten-free corn chex cereal
  • cups gluten-free cheese crackers (I used Simple Mills Farmhouse Cheddar)
  • cups gluten-free pretzel twists
  • 1 cup gluten-free cheerios
  • 1 cup mixed nuts

Seasoning Mixture

  • ½ cup salted butter
  • ¼ cup gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250 F and line 2 full-size sheet pans with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Place the cereal, cheese crackers, pretzels, and nuts into an extra-large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Once fully melted, remove from heat, and mix in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, paprika, and sugar. Stir until the spices are evenly distributed. **This step can also be done by melting the butter in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave and then stirring in the seasoning ingredients**
  • Drizzle half of the melted butter/seasoning mixture over the cereal, and gently toss to coat. Repeat with the other half of the mixture and continue to stir until everything is as close to evenly coated as you can get it without crushing your cereal (expect some pieces to be slightly more seasoned than others, this is normal).
  • Divide the Chex Mix between the two lined sheet pans. Spread the Chex Mix so that it is in a single layer on each of the pans and place in the oven. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  • After the Chex Mix is done baking, allow it to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before serving or storing.
